Olá, drama addict(s)!

Mais uma vez haverá um Festival de Cinema de Terror em Lisboa, a decorrer de 8 a 13 de Setembro. Sendo de terror, claro que contém alguns filmes asiáticos. Como tal, decidi compilar todos eles, incluindo resumos e horários. Contudo não se esqueçam de aceder ao programa com os horários aqui!

Ochiai volta a realizar e o guião é novamente co-escrito com o produtor Ichise, o qual produziu alguns dos melhores filmes de Nakata. Estreia internacional no Fantasia de Montreal.

Faking amnesia and his identity, he stays at Maria’s place and eventually starts to work at the cabaret as a piano player. As you will find out later on, life was not meant for Maria and Shiro to find one another.

Tatsuya and his brothers are three good-lookers who, along with their useless live-wire of a mother, keep getting into all sorts of scrapes - in love and at work. This is the Sakurai household, where everything hangs loose and everyone always speaks their mind.

Sinopse: This is a story about 3 men that live together : Zen, Taro and Ken. Now the 3 of them live together in a house they call "Peace." It may sound like a nice place to live, but in actuality, it is closer to poverty than you can imagine. But even so, they bide by their motto of "a cheerful, fun, and funky" life.

Suddenly one day, they find a first grader, Akira, on their doorstep. With Akira, they find a letter from his mother that reads "please take care of him for a little while." The bad part, which they soon find out is that Akira isn't like them. He's been raised in a glass house, and is "soft," quiet unlike the 3 of them, which proves to change their lives as they once knew it.

Nota: Fiquei completamente surpreendida com este drama. Juro que esperava algo completamente diferente. Mas digo-vos, gostei muito deste drama. Há partes (especialmente lá para o final) que podiam ter sido mais desenvolvidas mas foi um drama bastante bom. Quem me dera que houvesse um remake mais actual, com efeitos especiais melhorzinhos e tudo!

Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 (2003)

Ikumi doesn't seem to recognize Hina but the wheels of fate are slowly moving to reunite them in what is a passionate story of forbidden love.

Not just a remake of the 1993 version; it takes place at the same school, but with different characters and situations.

Nota: É a versão 2003 do drama que referi na publicação anterior... gostei imenso deste drama. Mais um com cenas realistas.

Now, having passed the nursery school teacher examination, bright-eyed and eager Taiyo is out to make his mark on a totally female-dominated world. Posted at the Himawari Nursery School to cover for another teacher on maternity leave, Taiyo has but a few short months to prove himself to the female teachers and children's mothers who are arrayed against him that he is every bit as capable as the women. 

Nota: Ainda estou para perceber o o porquê de se referirem no MDL ao género "drama". Isto não tem drama nenhum, é a história de um educador de infância e das suas crianças... Claro que há problemas familiares aqui e ali mas é mais um drama escolar com professores do que o resto. Mais um drama onde os japoneses brilham!

The mother, Haru, works at a supermarket while her oldest son, Tatsuya, is the main breadwinner working at an advertisement company. The 2nd son, Riku, is a bit of a playboy and is the main cause of grief in the family. The youngest, Junpei, is the sweet hard worker. He takes care of the meals and household duties.

Tatsuya and his brothers are three good-lookers who, along with their useless live-wire of a mother, keep getting into all sorts of scrapes - in love and at work. This is the Sakurai household, where everything hangs loose and everyone always speaks their mind.

[LISTA] Viagem ao mundo dos JDramas: Olá, anos 90!

Bem-vindos ao mundo dos clássicos - clássicos para alimentar a veia romântica e não só. Aqui vos apresentarei uma série de dramas (provavelmente só/maioritariamente japoneses - visto que coreanos vocês já os conhecem todos). Espero que fiquem tão apaixonados quanto eu. Tentei colocar aqui alguns para outros possíveis gostos também.

Atenção que esta lista não tem em conta os mais recentes - mas digo-vos já, os melhores dramas japoneses são os antigos, não os recentes. I mean it. A lista será desde 1990 a 2005, mais coisa menos coisa.

Antes de mais: não vou falar aqui dos dramas clássicos mais conhecidos, não. Se vocês conhecessem todos será que tinha piada? haha Mas para os que não conhecem deixo aqui principalmente estes must watch: Great Teacher Onizuka, Gokusen, One Million Stars Falling From The Sky, Pride, Orange Days, 1 Litre of Tears, Hana Yori Dango.

Vou-vos confessar uma coisa: vai custar imenso ser selectiva. Há dramas que quero aconselhar mas depois há dramas que me parecem tão interessantes que são preferíveis de colocar sob pena de a lista não ficar muito longa.

E... por isso mesmo é que irei dedicar uma publicação só ao dos anos 90, e outra de 2000 a 2005. No entanto, as sugestões anterior mantêm-se. Sim, mudei rapidamente de opinião. Lista era muito grande. Isto significa que talvez as maiores surpresas ainda estejam pra vir. ^^ Sim, os melhores que encontrei até eram do ano 2000-... xD

Tokyo Love Story (1991)

Kono yo no Hate (1994)

Sinopse: Maria is in need of money. Because her day-time job doesn’t pay enough, she works at night at a cabaret. She needs the money so that she can pay for her sister, Nana’s eyes operation. When both Maria and Nana were younger, Maria burned down the home, causing her sister’s blindness and killing their father (mother survived.) 

Shiro is a famous concert pianist. However, he isn’t happy with his marriage or his life in general. Maria and Shiro are united through a traffic accident, causing Shiro to be hospitalized. Faking amnesia and his identity, he stays at Maria’s place and eventually starts to work at the cabaret as a piano player. As you will find out later on, life was not meant for Maria and Shiro to find one another.

Aishiteiru to Ittekure (1995)

Sinopse: In the middle of a bustling metropolis, how could it be that there is only one apple tree? No matter how much Hiroko jumps to try to pluck the apple, she cannot reach it. Fortunately, Kohji passes by and plucks the apple for her. Kohji is a rising young artist who because he lost his hearing at the age of 7, lives by only expressing himself through paintings. Furthermore, Hiroko is ayoung actress who practices acting with a drama troupe while holding a part-time job.

The two meet again and again in the park until one day, she learns that Kohji is deaf. Through their initial attraction, Hiroko begins to learn Japanese sign language in order to communicate with Kohji and as their relationship develops, several obstacles arise as well.

Long Vacation (1996)

On her wedding day, she gets dumped by her fiance and loses all of her savings, which she gave to her fiance. Her fiance turns out to be Senna's former roommate. She rushes to Sena's apartment and finds out that her fiance has skipped town. With no money and no where to go, she moves in with Sena.

Opinião: Dei 6 a este drama, no entanto toda a gente aconselha e admira a química do casal. Aconselho ainda assim. E uma das minhas notas pessoais sobre o drama foi "tem bons beijos é fofo". Anyway, tudo com o Takuya vale a pena ver ;) Espreitem por vocês mesmo! Não o coloquem de parte!

Mahiru no Tsuki (1996)

Glass Mask (1997)

A legendary former stage actress, Tsukikage Chigusa, watches Maya as she reenacts drama episodes she's seen on TV. She approaches Maya and has her join her acting company, Tsukikage Theater. Tsukikage holds the production rights to a legendary masterpiece called "The Crimson Goddess," in which she had played the title role until a terrible accident burnt her face beyond surgical repair. She's been searching all of these years for someone to play the role which only the most talented actress could play, and maybe she's found that someone in Maya. Tem temporada 2: Glass Mask 2.

Beach Boys (1997)

Sinopse: Upon getting thrown out of his girlfriend Fujiko's apartment, Hiromi (Sorimachi) decides to head for the ocean. En route, he crosses paths with Kaito (Takenouchi), an elite employee of a large multinational trading company in Tokyo who is running away from his problems at work after losing a key client. The two stumble into a quiet B&B on the beach run by the aging surfer Masaru and his high-school-aged granddaughter Makoto. 

Slowly over the ensuing episodes, Kaito becomes more and more at home in this sleepy rural town, and begins to wonder if he should give up his pursuit of success in the big city, and try to relax, and enjoy himself more. When he returns to Tokyo to finish his work, Hiromi and Makoto come to lure him back, but when he returns to the B&B, his boss and girlfriend Sakura likewise come looking for him.

Riko does not have a good impression of him at first, but falls for him gradually. However, Teppei runs into his ex-girlfriend Mizuhara Sanae (Junna Risa) who is now the girlfriend of his brother Soichiro (Uchino Masaaki). Consoling him is Riko, whom Teppei likes gradually. Just when Teppei and Riko start dating, Sanae realises that she still likes Teppei.

Bokura no Yuuki (1997)

Forced to survive on their own, the child leaders must save the city and also fight the government, which tries to hide the truth.

Opinião: Eu dei a este drama 8 mas devo dizer que ainda hoje mexe comigo. Uma relação professora e aluno que só os japoneses conseguem fazer. Actores excelentes, em especial a protagonista. Aconselho muito, especialmente se gostam do tema e se também preferem algo mais real.

Also Junichi falls for the woman and it is the first time he believes that he can be worth for more than nothing. But a lot of things happen and of course, it is not that easy for them to be together and it always seems that they will not be able make it. But maybe there is a happy end after all ?

It is a very good JDorama about friendship, differences in society, prejudices and especially about love that seems to be above it all.
